‘Valentine’s Day’, a movie with every romantic comedy star in the world hasn’t even been released yet and it looks like the producers have suddenly realized that the idea of doing holiday-themed romantic comedies is gold. And they’re already ready with another one.

Deadline Hollywood reports that a sequel is already in the works with the producers hiring screenwriter Katherine Frugate to pen another ensemble comedy, only this time it will revolve around ‘New Year’s Eve’. The movie will star some of the cast from ‘Valentine’s Day’ over the course of 24 hours before the new year begins.
Now I have no doubt Valentine’s Day will be a hit but the fact that they just realized this formula is hilarious. The British film ‘Love Actually’ already figured this out in 2005 and revolved around Christmas and had an ensemble cast. Only that film was one of the best romantic comedies every made and I highly doubt this or the next one will be so.
Still, this will be a pleasant diversion come February 14th.
